Peru piccies

A little update from my phone..

I'm on a 2 week Peruvian adventure with my sisters!
We're half way through.
So far there's been massive mountains, colourful markets, amazing meals, painful yet rewarding hikes, fantastic guides, freeeeezing camping, and....dancing! Not quite sure the appropriate descriptor for the dancing. It was Elizas first time legally out on the town last night. We did a darn good job of it!!

So far so good.

Once in a blue moon..

...there's a perk for my work!
The company I work for held a competition between all of it's bars last year.
The bar that I was in at the time, won! Huzzah!
I was fortunate enough that although changing bars since, I was invited to share in the reward with the boys.

 We got sent to Scotland...

 To the Chivas Regal / Pernod Ricard house!

 and a hangover to boot!
Before heading back to London, we took a leisurely stroll to the site of the first ever Glenlivet distillery.

 

 The fresh, crisp air together with the warm sun would cure any of your worries, hangover included!

Beautiful place. Would go back there in a heartbeat.

Groezzzzzmuck!

We have a LOT to catch up on!

This round, festival number two of the year.. GROEZROCK.

Myself, Wez, Paddy, Jacob and Petra dragged our tents and euros into 3 days of dust, beer, chips 'n mayo, Jager and punks into a tiny town called Meerhout.

 

First stop, Belgium station. Whoooa!

My mate Jacob has recently arrived from Aus,

we chucked him headfirst in to festival season (without a fight!)

Bounced about to a rockin' set from Bodyjar.

 We may or may not have stalked the signing tent shortly after in search of an old friend...

 The rest was a blur of German, Netherlanish jibberish mixed in with freeeeeezing nights, a giant hug giving banana, a more than brilliant set from The Hives, a bunch of sun and loads of punkrockish fun.

Amazing time. Great craic, but prob wouldn't do Groezrock again. They've got a few organisational issues. On the upside, their less than bright-spark security believed my litre of OJ was indeed just juice. Splash of vodka kept me going all day whilst everyone else soaked up the Belgian beer! Fun times.
This week, after many showers and one very muddy bath, we're off to Ireland for Wez's birthday.
Not complaining, but I'ma need a holiday from work and holidays soon!

Road trip !

Myself and Wez are off to our first festival of 2014, Beginning with a road trip to Austria.
First half complete. Had a beautiful day cruising in the sun!

Drink drank drunk

Since being back from Aus, life has been work, work and a little more work.

Not all labour intensive though..

 

Being in hospitality, all our Christmas celebrations get put on hold 'til January.

 Round one, All store party.

20 Be At Ones. 300 bartenders. One open bar.

I had work in the morning, so I took it easy... ish!

Big night, fun times.

 

Round 2 - Staff day out.

Just our bar.
We started our day with champagne and boxes in our tiny crowded office...

Then off to some bowling...

 with an EPIC amount of pizza to line the bellies.

Then off to 7 different bars.. I think!?

We managed to stay together as a team the whole way. 

Impressive for 10 drunk bartenders loose in London!
