Considering how often I go to the movies these days, the rate of my sharing, caring judgemental reviews is appalling.
For Aussies in search of aircon and the rest of us over this side freezing out tits off, hiding in cinemas away from the frost.. here's what I think of the latest and maybe not so greatest..
Argo
Trailers told it all, but intrigue still sat me in the cinema.
Affleck seemed to do a good job and retelling the tale.
I'm a sucker for a true story.
As I suspected, Argo was predicatable, but enjoyable.
Rise of the Guardians
Best animation I've seen in a while.
It's no Monsters Inc. or Shrek,
but it has lovable characters and a nice concept.
I recommend it for a no brainer, chillout flick.
Skyfall
Applause, applause ! !
I hadn't spent anytime, with any Bond films until recently.
Knowing Skyfall was on it's way, Wez got me educated with a couple of prequals.
Just Craigs versions, I've no comparison to the others who belong in the 'I've been Bond' club.
I thought it was great!
The villan, awesome creep with a little twist that makes him.
Craig was hardcore and amazing and the story was, in my opinion well writen.
Worth the cash to see it on the big screen.
Silver Linings Playbook
This was my favourite.
Doesn't come out in Aus til the very end of Jan.
I had no clue of the plot going in which I think was a plus.
Well writen, not too corny.
I felt like I'd seen a decent film when it finished.
Nice when that happens!
Not a big screen essential, the story speaks for itself,
wherever you choose to lay your eyes and ears.
I also had a few repeats keep me company...
My favourite xmas movie,
Miracle on 24th street.
Oldie but a goodie.
and my old mates the Breakfast club made an appearance, as always!
