Merry Banquet

Medieval Banquet, novelty place to dine in London, whether you live here or just visiting, go 'n' get amongst it. Expensive but worth it for the one off experience. You wont leave hungry, or sober!

Wez's work xmas dinner. I'm no stranger to the boys he works with, lived with half of 'em for most the year, so I put my plus 1 hat on and joined the festivities.

Funky place, great food, right level of talented and cheesy entertainment and fun dressups.
Yell 'Wench!' for a drink refill and bang fists on wooden tables for applause.
Brings out the hooligan in you!
Hire a costume..
or buy a hat..

a turkey is all that fit my fat dread head.

Unlimited wine and ale was consumed,
4 amazing courses in a cave-like resaurant.
Tayto!
The is Al, he's allergic to booze.
He still drinks.
They committed to the cave-like look all the way into the toilets.
The walls were slanted on an angle next to the mirrors, hugging the room...
This meant that if one was to get distracted by ones turkey hat in her reflection,
she'd meet the fancy slanty wall in a head on collision near concussing herself,
placing an egg on her head.

OW!
I still got a bump on my forehead and was queasy for 2 days.
Idiot.

Walking into walls aside, it was a great night!
Aus folk, come visit, we'll go !

Popcorn eater, appreciater, addict.

Considering how often I go to the movies these days, the rate of my sharing, caring judgemental reviews is appalling.

For Aussies in search of aircon and the rest of us over this side freezing out tits off, hiding in cinemas away from the frost.. here's what I think of the latest and maybe not so greatest..

Argo
Trailers told it all, but intrigue still sat me in the cinema.
Affleck seemed to do a good job and retelling the tale.
I'm a sucker for a true story.
As I suspected, Argo was predicatable, but enjoyable.

Rise of the Guardians
Best animation I've seen in a while.
It's no Monsters Inc. or Shrek,
but it has lovable characters and a nice concept.
I recommend it for a no brainer, chillout flick.

Skyfall
Applause, applause ! !
I hadn't spent anytime, with any Bond films until recently.
Knowing Skyfall was on it's way, Wez got me educated with a couple of prequals.
Just Craigs versions, I've no comparison to the others who belong in the 'I've been Bond' club.
I thought it was great!
The villan, awesome creep with a little twist that makes him.
Craig was hardcore and amazing and the story was, in my opinion well writen.
Worth the cash to see it on the big screen.

Silver Linings Playbook
This was my favourite.
Doesn't come out in Aus til the very end of Jan.
I had no clue of the plot going in which I think was a plus.
Well writen, not too corny.
I felt like I'd seen a decent film when it finished.
Nice when that happens!
Not a big screen essential, the story speaks for itself,
wherever you choose to lay your eyes and ears.

I also had a few repeats keep me company...
My favourite xmas movie,
Miracle on 24th street.
Oldie but a goodie.

and my old mates the Breakfast club made an appearance, as always!

Winter Wonderland

Minus the wonderous snow 'n' cool shit. England.. Winterland.

Finally got the internet, and with that, a damn virus invaded my laptop so we're back to my stupid, sideways, not so smart phone for now (as you may've gathered, I do revisit these messy posts and tidy shit up when I can)

Xmas is definitely everywhere. Myself n WeZ dove straight into the madness and checked out Winter Wonderland in Hyde park yesterday.

It's markets, meets amusement park, meets mulled wine and German sausages. What more could you ask for?! Warm toes! That's what!!

Was a fun but freezing fest..ive evening.
