work, work, gig, work, gig, work, more work, mother of all gigs!

My theme song for the past fortnight!
except it's 9 ta 5.. then 6 til close.
I'm knackered 'n' broke.
Me needs a better money makin' plan!

Last year, dedicated festival goer WeZ spent his morning successfully
chasing Glastonbury festival tickets for us. My Hero!!
This week, among the cold and rain, the line up was announced.
Oh my golly gosh...
Ready, steady.. rant!
Yeah yeah, so the Rolling Stones are headlining.. (second to Arctic Monkey?!)
As legendary as they be, I'm much more excited about a lot of other names.
Sinead O'Connor
Nick Cave and the bad seeds
Smashing Pumpkins
The Proclaimers
Kenny Rogers?!

From legends to a decent dance off...
Dizzie Rascal
Chase and status
Example

And theeeeeen...
Mumford and Sons
Glen Hansard
Ben Howard

blah blah.. the list is pure ridiculous.
All its missing is Toto.

If you see any only the list you know are must sees, lemme know!
Bring on UK Summer

Cocktails in my belly

From Walkabout boredom to alcohol overload.
Went out and made up for lost hours after work last night.
They're a good crew, reminds me why I put up with the shit bits of the job!
Payin' for it today.

The Chapel of Unrest

Had a big fancy night in work..
Library scrubs up quite well.
The place was nice warm riddled with shiny glassware and waxy brass candelabras.
I opted for a double shift. Ran the kitchen in the day then scored myself
the Ushering seat for the evening.
This meant right place right time to steal a quick pic with an awkward flash.
I hate being one of those harrassing people.. but I figured fuck it. It's London,
I'm unlikely to be in this situation again!
The show was good! It has a grotesque theme with cannibalism and sewed faces.
About as hardcore as I'll go!

gig gig gig guitar..

Tommy Emmanuel.
Oldie but a goodie.
The man makes it look so damn easy!!
I booked these tickets nearly a year ago, finally, the date arrived.
Gave guitar enthusiast Wez a dose of good ol' Aussie entertainment from the 3rd row.

Blog statistics

I check 'em every now 'n' then, see which countries are following, how many hits etc.
The average seems about 2 - 3 people check in per day.

Today.. 31 views!? And not just folk back home trying to kill their mondayitis..
3 in Aus, one in Germany and 27 in the US. Random.

Makes one wonder who's watching!

Me and my Irish mate !

My favourite paddy on paddys day..
And most other days !

It didn't really feel like Paddys day this year.
I think it felt more real decked out head to toe in my green frock in Flannys back home !

But still..
I worked for a few hours in an empty Aussie pub before bailing
and heading for the proper experience.
Trafalgar square was a sea of umbrellas and rain soaked coats
accompained by a stage pumping a bunch of weak tunes. meh!
Instead, we pub crawled our way through Leicester square finishing
 up in WeZ's mates pub.

 Good drunken craic!

(p.s: pretty sure my skin is loosing pigment every time it rains. White as white, hangin for summer!)

Hot off the press!

Bit of an exciting night in work coming up...

Jim Broadbent is comin' to the Bush

Work snaps and word of a bright shiny thing in the sky

Sun came out today.
True story!
It was pure shock and splendour whilst I squinted my way to the shops.
Here's hoping Spring stays for more than 2 days.
Still ploddin along at the Theatre as intended.. still love its atmosphere.
